I was just seeing some videos on Youtube on this.  $30,000 for a year of travel is INSANE.  My son is a first year 16U player and I might have spent that over his whole time in hockey 8U to 18U.

Nothing to be done about the Dallas situation if they've bought up all the rinks.  You either play their way or find another sport.  At least around here there are still some choices.

The Black Bear situation in our area is just a microcosm of the Dallas situation.
