Congrats to all kids that made AAA! Whether you like or dislike AAA. who cares. It is an accomplishment to make  a AAA team at any level. #StopTheHate

You forgot to say congrats to the ones that made it because they needed to fill a spot and the parents got the money. This happens more often than it should. Earning a spot on AAA is a great accomplishment. My son is an example of money for a spot. He is an A player 1st yr and AA second yr from squirt up to bantam. I was asked for him to play AAA because the team had 3 openings. I turned it down, he's not AAA. They got another kid that was his teammate every year since mite, another was a B player 1st yr and an A player 2nd yr and the 3rd player I have no idea where he came from. My son and his teammate are both real solid players but not top on their team(my son was #5 in pts and the other kid was#7), but we can afford it. AAA is for elite players and putting players there that really shouldn't be helps no one.

Gotta fill the 3rd and 4th line benchwarmers somehow.  I know of one team that had two extra spots on the team filled but couldn't roster the kids, they never dressed the entire season until the last games of a tourney, coach finally dressed them.  Can you imagine paying that much, travelling that much, only to get pity rostered for a game?  Even funnier this was a 16u team.

This happened with a kid my son played with a few years ago. He was a good player, but never played above A. He just happened to be a clinic a few days before AAA try outs. The coach went up to his dad and said he looked good should come to the try out. They went and he made the team. They were on the fence about playing, but figured it was worth a shot and could help with this development. Huge mistake The team was terrible. Most of the kids were tier 2, barely AA level and even the existing AAA players from the previous years team weren't really AAA level. You couldn't even spin it as, "well, they are playing better competition so it will make the better players". They were so over matched during games that they couldn't work on anything. They ended up having to play out of league games against mediocre AA teams just to be competitive. The funniest thing about it was this kid wouldn't have even made the well below average AA team at our club that year. He came back the next season and still has never played above A in the years since.

"You forgot to say congrats to the ones that made it because they needed to fill a spot and the parents got the money."  The thumbs down on this must have been from one of those type of AAA players.  😂😂😂
This person make a factual comment, no reason for a thumbs down unless it hit you deep inside. My daughter plays AAA and her team girls team has been quilty of this in the past. Lets not act like it don't happen.

Seems like AAA is fading in certain parts of South Jersey. Flyers Elite Pee Wee having tough time attracting players and no Squirt team this year. PHC is fine, but reader is Venom who will be ok in 22-23, not like years past. Could be trouble for PHC down the road. Little Flyers attracting some kids from SJ, but best PW & SQ are playing Tier II. People finally waking up to the AAA scam. Only the top players should play AAA. Less AAA teams means better Tier II competition. I am pumped!

How do you even write stuff like this?  In what cases are you saying that the "best PW are playing Tier II"?  What are some actual examples (keep player names out of it please).

Yes, FE is basically folding at SQ and PW, but that's because there is too much competition for AAA players.

AAA level players by rink not playing AAA
Voorhees-4 2011, 2 2012, 3 2013
Igloo-3 2011, 2 2012, 2 2013
Pennsauken- 3 2011, 0 2012, 5 2013
Hollydell- 3 2011, 1 2012, 3 2013
Grundy- 2 2011, 2 2012, 2 2013

All rinks would play FE. 2012 is weak, but 2011 & 2013 could field full teams and be atleast .500 or better. 2 2012 could play 2011 and be better players on team.  If u dont agree with me, I know for a fact all players mentioned were "recruited"  by multiple AAA teams for 22-23 and parents said no for travel and cost. There are more players I know of, but rinks too far from Pennsauken.

"Best" vs. "recruited by" are two vastly different categories.  There are plenty of PW AAA teams in this area which certainly leaves some open spots.  However, none of the "best" 2011s around are playing AA or A.

What's the truth on PHC 2011's having a "Super Team" with the best 11's in the Area? I heard a rumor the over the weekend that they added 4 or 5 kids that are legit. That could very scary with what they already have in place.
