I dont think you can blame the OP - there are many reasons to hate youth hockey - not the sport itself, or that young people are learning it - no... it is the adults around it, from the parents to the schemers to the black bears to the georges - all a reeking pond, who "like hockey" but "love money"... it fails so many in so many ways...  good for hockey, two thumbs up.

keep it fun for your kids, parents - sit back and enjoy it, because getting yourself involved just sucks.

So, it is not hockey the OP hates - it is the human condition, as expressed in youth hockey.

Hope you can process that successfully.

I hate hockey also.  The only problem is that I also love hockey.  That puts me in a weird position....
