Topic: February 14, 2020, 03:52:29 PM
I just saw this video posted on the DC Facebook game finders page and am wondering is this the only team for them playing?

By definition Tier 1 only applies to 14U and above for teams who are National Championship eligible. There are organizations who are deemed Tier 1 by the Atlantic District because they are approved for Tier 1 teams 14U or higher. They also offer 12U and 10U teams. Technically there is no such thing as Tier 1 for 12U or 10U teams. You can essentially give yourself as many letters as you want. That being said the Phantoms Youth will have a 2011 Squirt Minor Team in the AYHL next season.

Forgetting about LVP experiment with 01's back around then too.

2014-2015 14U Bantam Minor American - 1 win, 35 losses, 1 tie
2015-2016 14U Bantam Major American - 5 win, 23 losses, 1 tie

Not the greatest decisions made there in regards to Tier 1.  Hopefully they know what they are doing now.

Situations were different then. You only needed to "buy" your way into the AYHL to play. This team had to be approved to be allowed into the league and the divison. If you have seen the 2011 group you would understand they should fair very well against the rest of the AYHL.

Palmyra went Tier 1.  As a result, 3 of 11 Tier 2 teams above .500.  Tier 1 plays in USPHL which is nothing but AA at best.  It’s the ego of hockey director and starry eyes of parents who can claim their kids are AAA.

Haha DVHL teams in the AYHL hahaha that is a joke in its self sorry if your kid plays in the DVHL. You are going to have a rude awakening and your team is going to get punted. No Mercy rule no running clock rule in the AYHL. LHVP  tryed it before and it didnt go so well for them. Good luck.
