18AA favorites for upcoming season?

Not a chance they would have come in 2nd...looks like 3A was the weakest division of the 3. If it was Top 10 team tournament they would have been in lower half. In days when Nationals meant something you had to win districts ( top 4 teams in DVHL / NJ MADE DISTRICTS) 1 winner then went to Regionals where 4 top East Regions teams competed for 1 spot at Nationals. Only 10 teams at Nationals with 1 winner not 3. It's so weak now Delaware Blue Hens won 2 games at Nationals this year.

Your statement about the Blue Hens negates your other statement that 3a was the weakest division. BH winning 2 games obviously makes 1a by far the weakest.

There were teams in 2A ranked higher then some teams in 3A....1A was ridiculous teams with losing records. Nationals have become so watered down it's a shame. Used to mean something to just get to Nationals now with 30+ teams it's a joke

How much does anyone want to bet the dad of Pennridge’s goalie wrote this comment?

HAHA long trip for nothing.Sound a little frustrated but that's the facts. Used to be 10 teams and 1 winner. Now 30 teams and 3 winners at 18AA. Weak.....PS you know the Genesis goalie who you guys called nothing but an A goalie. Just led his AA High School team to the SHSHL..FLYERS CUP ...and STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

OK, I'll bite.

3A is not necessarily the "highest" and 1A the "lowest".

3A is teams from the largest districts and 1A is teams from the smallest districts.  2A is obviously in between.  There are teams in each division that may have better ranking than teams from other divisions. 

It would be great if they did a final Tournament of Champions style playoff at the end.  Sounds like an idea for the folks at MyHockey to run.

Not necessarily true. It’s based more off of my hockey rankings than people think. Last year Clearwater and ashburn both were in 2a. This year they were both in 3A.

What's even weirder is that this year Ashburn 16s were 2a while 18s were in 3a.

Well you would lose that bet. The goalie for Pennridge is not my son and in fact I dont have a son on Pennridge.

Yes very weak competition in hs hockey anymore the kids just don't want to play but yeh dad use that as an excuse for a A level goalie who can't cut it at the higher level in travel hockey. What ncaa school is the chosen one going to be starting for in 22?
