FALCONS DOMINATE IN TWO BACK TO BACK ROAD GAMES

Going into this week, the Falcons were trying to regroup after a tough game against North Penn. It is not very often that they play two games in one week, let alone two road games. This would give them two chances to bounce back.

First up was Quakertown at Hatfield on Wednesday night at 8:20 pm. Right away it was clearly apparent that Quakertown’s goaltender Austin Stoudt was up to whatever they were throwing at him. Freshman Andrew Falkenstein was able to get one past him with 10:32 left in the first, but he had an answer for everything else until the end of the first, when the Falcons were finally able to open up the scoring. The Falcons played hard and disciplined hockey and came away with the 9-1 win, outshooting Quakertown 68-6.

Next up on Friday night was another road match up against Division rival CR North. Again the Falcons came out strong and faced a rock solid goalie, Rex Goldberg. Again, the shots were in favor of the Falcons 36-8 and they came away with the same score 9-1.

The story of both of these games is the balance of the Falcons scoring. On Wednesday night at Quakertown, Junior Eddie Bossler scored a Hat Trick and Senior Beau Yedman tallied 2. The other 4 goals were scored by 4 different players. On Friday night at CR North, Senior Beau Yedman had another 2 goal night, but the other 7 goals were scored by 7 different players. In the two games combined, 14 different players contributed points and 11 of those players had more than one point. The Falcons are proving that their line up is deep and scoring can come from anywhere – even the defense.

Next up is CB West at home on Wednesday, December 18 at 9 pm. It is their last game before the holiday break and they are looking to continue their winning ways.
