Again, the Snider Organization doesn't say that it's only for low income families.  Reading comprehension must not be taught in the 'burbs.

It's at Snider's discretion.  If they have good players that have moved out of the city proper and THEY want them to continue playing, why do you have such a problem with it?  Are kids outside of Delco not allowed to play with the Delco Phantoms (I know a few who live in Philly who play for them) as well as other teams who have kids who don't live in that town.  Why is this such an issue for you?

They have AA teams, in fact their squirt AA won the DVHL and the East West challenge last year. Nobody seemed to care when they were the doormat of the DVHL. Keep the hate alive 😠!

Why such a big deal? If somebody has an opinion let them complain about it. If you don't like it move along.

It's a little confusing what the main point of concern in this discussion is.

My .2$, it's the DVHL. Anybody can tryout wherever they want. Just because the program is free doesn't mean every player makes it to the team of their, (or their parents) preference. They'll still be placed according to eval results. Players move around season to season, if they live in the suburbs or New Jersey and the parents want to drive into and out of the city twice a week, why does anybody care? As noted in a few comments the Snider program isn't like every other program. It's a coordinated effort by the Snider Youth Hockey Foundation based primarily on learning. Either way it would be nice to know what the OP issue is exactly.

I feel like i wrote this.  Couldn't agree more.  If you can afford hockey give up the spot to someone who can't.
