Why because the kids are being taught hockey and not just thrown out on the ice not knowing what to do?

It is just a fact that PHC 11 & 12's are the best AAA Teams around because of it. Not taking away from NJC/Titans/LVP all very good programs for implementing a system early.

You missed Gretzky's point. Systems are not good at an early age. Takes away freedom to experiment and become creative. Goal is not being good now, but good later. Congrats to 11 and 12 PHC for having best teams now. Lets see where PHC 11 and 12 are in 3 to 4 years!

what are you even talking about with systems? Those teams do the basic stuff, dump and chase, cycling the puck, working it back to the point. this is what kids need. do you want them to just travel in packs like 5 year old soccer?

and its about learning how to play hockey

You think dump and chase is learning how to play hockey? Cycling the Puck how about just learning to pass it tape to tape??  Working back to the point? Again how about learning to pass it effectively at 10 year olds....talk about a joke of a comment..

LOL trying to figure out where you are going with this. Hockey is more than just passing. If the other team is standing you up at the blueline, those tape to tape passes dont work

So other than passing, what exactly should kids be doing? Calm down, sorry to hear your kid got cut

How about skating?  Good hockey cannot be played without good skating. Gretzky may not of been the best skater in the NHL but he was effective.  There is a lack of qualified skating instructors in this area - figure skating coaches (or even certain power skating coached putting on "clinics") with 30++ kids skating up and down the ice is not teaching - it is pocketing $$.  Need better skating instructors to have better hockey.  That is where it starts.
