you have to be released as USA hockey has your number and of they are not released from their contract they cannot play for ANY team that’s under USAH... period... which is practically all decent teams that that level...

False. Had two of my players join from teams in another state. No release even requested. USAH is irrelevant.

Nope- we play for a Tier 1 team and if YOU are NOT released from your team (where you signed your contract and were rostered) or cannot get the waiver you cannot play. USA Hockey rules state it. Good luck having the players play at a tournament and anyone finding out players didn’t get released from the roster of their first team they committed too. Whole team will be disqualified. Coming from another state has NOTHING to do with it. We have 8 players who come from 5 different states. Three of our players before they started playing for our team in September were signed on a different team- they HAD to be released from the team. Those are the rules.

Coming from a different state has nothing to do with it. It depends whether or not those two players of yours were already rostered and contracted on a different team. If they were they are required to be released. As they cannot be rostered on two teams.
We have 3 players who come from different states and they were NOT rostered or contacted on a different team before no problem BUT we just got another player 3 weeks ago who WAS rostered and contracted on another team and he needed to get released and waiver signed before he could even step on the ice with us. Those are USA hockey rules. Don’t want to jeopardize your whole team.

To add to the Gulls 2005 mess, team is now banned from NY state competition.  These kids signed in April to be eligible for the states and now they  are not.  This alone should allow them to be released.

Funny that someone keeps posting the same fake info and lies. The team is back except those who quit. So they keep posting.. Priceless. Just keep crying to yourself while the other move forward. So pathetic

Kids didn't quit. Just don't want to play for the garbage organization.  It's not what they signed up for.  They are a double A team at best with the kids who stayed and the new coach.
