Save that toilet paper role cardboard!

You'll need either shooting tiles or a very smooth playing surface and a regular hockey puck. Otherwise you'll need a green biscuit stick handling training puck for this drill. This can be done on any surface like garage, basement, driveway. Start small lining 3 to 4 hockey pucks in a zig-zag pattern. This will be the stick handling course.

Place the old roll in the glove, (always wear gloves when practicing!) that is on the bottom hand of the stick. start slowly to get the motion down handling the puck through the hockey puck obstacles. Work your way up to a faster speed that would be comparable to on ice stick handling. Make sure to do this frequently, soft hands don't happen over night.  ;)

The objective of this drill is to work on soft hands. That means when done with the drill, the toilet paper roll should only have wear marks from the stick. It should NOT be crushed or bent in any way.

I have had my kids doing this for years.  They thought I was crazy.  Glad I'm not the only crazy one.
