Your business plan is to buy all the lemons and then squeeze them.  Let’s not pretend it is anything more than that, please, “savior”. Regards.
I totally agree, I wish BB stayed away and let the dying clubs and rinks fold.  The real estate these dumps sit on would have been perfect for new storage facilities.  Unfortunately we're stuck with crappy ice and even worse hockey clubs until BB is able to unload the land for a huge profit.

Spoken like a true elitist! Keep the kids out that just want to have fun. Competition is key as your kid is going to the NHL! All roads lead to beer league!

Congratulations to all Black Bear owned rinks and teams! Putin would be proud of what Murry created and controls! DOJ time to break them up, before it's too late!

This is for every sport. Town league is good, but to play advanced level lacrosse, baseball, soccer is also very expensive. It is a money game now. Hockey is worse due to ice costs and equipment. Rinks could lower costs by having more house leagues/lite travel and limiting AAA to only top players. It would make all levels more competitive. Insurance costs, referee costs, energy costs, maintenance costs and labor costs all keep rising. It is a tough situation in all sports, not just hockey, but other sports have town league & town travel teams for the kids that just want to play to have fun. Everyone in hockey thinks their kid is going to get scholarship. It is more the parent mindset that allows rinks to charge high prices!

Great! Go play in the crappy NJYHL since the best teams left for AHF! Voorhees and you will be happy in NJ as you can brag how awesome you both are! Even though your rinks are terrible! Do any kids learn good edge work or how to  skate backwards at your rinks?
