I looked out of curiosity everyone seems to be concerned where teams are ranked I looked at the midget , bantams , pewee, and squirt all had quite  a few AAA teams ranked lower than  AA teams , even the so called power house organizations , which I find interesting that no one has brought that up

The issue here is it isn’t AAA. They are not only behind Hollydell and Flyers Youth but also 4 other AA teams in the Atlantic District. I’m not blaming kids, parents or the coach. The organization and district are to blame for not putting the brakes on teams that don’t belong at the AAA level. I’m sure you’ll field a team i just have an overall issue with the amount of tier 1 charters in this area and how it has ruined AAA and AA hockey.

The District agrees with you. The below resolution will most likely limit the # of AAA teams for the 2025 season. If AAA teams are eliminated, it will create stronger play at all levels. This started before BB came around, but they have made it worse!

AAHA Tier I Youth and Girls Corporate Resolution

at a few age levels PHC "hollydell" also has teams ranked lower than a few AA teams

interestingly the rating does not mean what some people think it means. When my kid started playing hockey @ 6yo, i thought that the higher rankings mean that the kids develop better. after many years i realized that it's not the case. the only thing it means that the coach / org is good at scouting and poaching kids from the other teams.

In our org the team ( not ours, 1 year older ) is ranked very high, top 10 based on MHR. But the team changed many times over, and from 4 years ago only 1 "original" kid left.

Minor years will be below a AA team at 10 and 12U in some cases. So for example a 2012 team (peewee minor) could be behind a 12U AA team. But a 2011 team (peewee major) shouldn’t be behind a 12U AA team.

TOO MANY AAA PROGRAMS. Start eliminating the bottom and AAA and AA will improve.

Well FE has mixed teams at both 2011 & 2013. So naturally they would be lower in rankings. FE had to do mixed age teams because they are rebuilding the program after not having any team below 2010 last season. 2011 has 4 2012 and a bunch of kids with fall 2011 birth dates. They are a very young team, playing together for 1st time. 2013 has 6 2014 and 2 2015 players. Look at their MHR results and they are very competitive in 90% of their games. Next year FE is trying to have all age level teams. I think they will have enough players at tryouts to cut players at all ages. Will the teams be AAA level? I think 2012, 2014 and 2015 will be AAA level. 2013 and 2011 will have a tough time at AAA just because those ages are loaded with very good players and the better players are already on AAA teams. I do agree that there are too many AAA teams.

FE is not a true Tier 1 program, would not be surprised if they lose their Tier 1 charter once AHAA does their reevaluation in 2025. Name another Tier 1 program with that many inexperienced parent coaches... I will wait.
