Your right at 16A there is a very good chance that the AHF teams come out on top.  Why because they played AHF vs playing DVHL???    No because the PA AHF teams,  who are the two topped ranked teams according to MHR , come from Clubs that don't field AA teams.   If you look at the MHR Wissahickon and Lancaster would be middle of the road AA teams in the AHF.  But those teams took the easy way out so they could out score teams on an average of 4 to 1.   Please don't tell me they didn't know this.   These teams\clubs have been sandbagging for years.  They know how good their teams are.  They played down to win.    Both of these teams would have been on the cusp of being playoff teams in the AA gold div.   Lets not give them props for playing A hockey so they could have a +134 goal diff (Lancaster) and a +131 (Wissahickon).

Head to Head DVHL vs AHF. The AHF came out on top in PA and in Delaware. 2 out of 3 Delaware teams and 2 out of 3 PA teams headed to Nationals are AHF. In the Affiliate Championships the AHF was well represented in the Championship games. At 12u all 6 teams in the championship were part of the AHF. The Militia and Avalanche who did partial AHF this year, Avalanche going going full AHF next year. At 14u 2 of the 4 teams are AHF with 1 being the Avalanche. 16u teams were both AHF and 18u had 0 AHF teams in the Championship game. The DVHL had 3 teams in Affiliate championship games. That's 3 out of 14 possible teams in the championship game for the DVHL and 10 out of 14 for the AHF. Pretty easy to see the better league and to those who cry about fees, you get what you pay for.

If the above trend continues, and people have issues with AHF prices, then we should see a massive amount of people flocking to DVHL and NJYHL rinks, right?

Please do tell. If the trend continues why stay in the DVHL a sinking, lesser league. Let's just pick 16A since that was talked about earlier. The DVHL's top team the Central Penn Panthers couldn't beat the 6th ranked AHF team the Igloo Jaguars. That is why you are seeing more teams wanting to go into the AHF. I can go either way DVHL or AHF from where I live and with a difference of only $300 I will go with the better, more competitive league. From what I read the clubs in the AHF fees are not much more, depending of the area you live in. I'm not talking BB rinks, I'm talking AHF. Ask yourself why non BB organizations left the DVHL to begin with, why teams in New Jersey and other states are leaving for the AHF. Why, if rumors are true did Genesis want to go AHF next year(that was told to me by a few Genesis parents)? The AHF will be going no where. When you listen to a Flyers game on the radio you hear multiple advertisements for Black Bear rinks, not a club in the DVHL. I even heard it once during a Devils game. Who are parents hearing these ads going to go to and in which league will they play in. Trust that I'm all for competition and hope that the other leagues survive and find away to hang in there. I don't see how they can stand alone and not form a new league including the DVHL, EJ & NJ. They can call it the TSHL/Tri State Hockey League = teams from PA, NJ & Delaware.

You are exactly right, the DVHL is just about dead. The AHF is corning the "Big 2" rinks, Aston and Hatfield. I have a few kids playing at different levels and honestly my only complaint this year was the partial season teams getting pushed to the top.

I like the new name but I believe TSHL is already used or was in the past. Make it TSYHL, Tri State Youth Hockey League and it would be ok. Throw in a E or P to make it sound like a top league, Tri State Elite Hockey League or Tri State Premiere Hockey League.  I know there is a TSCHL, Tri State Collegiate Hockey League.
