If they want to draw the kids they need, Flyers Elite needs to come in at a significantly lower price AND offer more ice time. If they dont want to do this, they will have to bring a coach from another rink, who will bring kids with them.
Otherwise, they probably wont get who they need. The rink is seen as a dump in a less than desirable location.
Weekly- 3 hours of practice (no shared), 1 hr skills, 1 hr video and 1 hr personal trainer for $4800 at PW is not enough? Included in price you get spring 2x/week for April, May and 2 weeks in June, 4 day summer camp 830am to 230pm, 4 toyrnaments and 50+ games. Who else offers that much at that price? Rink is a dump but they are putting money in for improvemebt due to the new Academy team- shooting room, locker room updates, gym updated. AA about $4k- 2 shared ice practices, skills 2x/month, no video, no gym. Plus FE is a AAA rink only so no AA, A or B teams to mess up ice time. FE has tons of ice time. You need to do your homework!
Then why aren't more kids going there then? I am not saying it isn't a good deal or a good amount of ice and extra stuff. I knew that before your post.
If they offered that at half the price, would it make a difference? If they convinced a coach from another rink to coach the team and bring some of his team, would it make a difference?
The problem is people think Tier 1 is so expensive. Since COVID and BB the prices for all Tier 2 teams have skyrocketed. Tier 1 is a great deal when you factor in all the extras you pay for at a Tier 2 rink. Power Skating, Private Sessions, Extra practices in the Spring, and Summer Camp. All that is included at FE. With AHF adding so many teams, travel at Tier 2 is basically the same as Tier 1 now. People need to wake up and realize you get way more for Tier 1, the kids have a blast, the FE rink is great because it is no overcrowded like Igloo, Voorhees or Hollydell, you get a lot of ice time, the rink is improving and they have great developmental coaches. If you think the price is too high or the rink is not nice enough, then stay where you are. If you want your kid to improve, be challenged, have fun and actually learn how to play the game, then FE is the place for you! I think you are going to be surprised how many kids show up for tryouts in March at 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The information requests have been off the charts and I can't wait to have birth year teams next season.
