DVHL News: Haverford Hawks Celebrating 45 Years Of Local Youth Hockey

Havertown, PA. The Haverford Hawks will be celebrating 45 years of youth hockey history on Sunday, Nov. 10.



To celebrate their anniversary the Hawks will honor veterans this weekend hosting a special event which includes members of the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors. The 'Warriors' are a team of injured and disabled U.S. Veterans formed by the Philadelphia Flyers organization.

Activities Include:

• Veterans Days ceremony and National Anthem
• On-ice activities for Hawks players including a skills competition with Philadelphia Flyers alumni Bob Kelly (1970-80) and Brad Marsh (1981-88)
• Bake sale
• 50/50 Raffle to raise money for the Flyers Warrior Hockey Team travel
