Waiting see what these tp rosters bring to table.  If true wild kids came over for 13uaa team then that team will be very strong.  With all the dreamers that went aaa from 2012 and 2013 they just throwing money away.  Play as for less the price and better development.

Better development where? You are dreaming if you think 2 hrs a week on ice is good development. AAA is superior in ice time, gym, skills, and video compared to any Tier II offering. Yes price is higher, but ice out the extras individually and you will see Tier 1 is the better bargain. When factoring the added travel the AHF has, then the travel discrepancy of Tier 1 and Tier 2 is significantly narrowed!

I dunno. I definitely understand your point but I can’t help but think that after seeing how many legitimate AAA kids moved to AA this year at 2012 their parents may be on to something. It appears a lot of AAA families were disillusioned with AAA in general and the AY specifically. I question how much actual “development” was actually happening at the AAA level.

In the AY, very little development. Systems, structure and wins is goal. That can all be taught later. Skating, reading plays on your own and creativity before 15u is what makes kids great players. going AA route, paying for skating lessons and skills sessions outside the watchful eye of the systems coaches is what is needed. PHC, JRF, LF win, but do they really develop? My opinion is no!

AAA is for status until 15u.  Many parents love to throw out there my kid plays AAA. Then a kid cuts from AAA and parents get upset. Oh well find an org u like and stick with it.

Never once have my wife or I ever said out kids play AAA or Tier 1 to people. We play it because we priced out everything you get in your tuition with Tier 1 and compared it to AA and extras on an ala carte basis. We actually save money with Spring Ice 2x's/week, Spring gym, 6 hr/day 4 days summer camp, 3hrs/week practice, gym, video, 1hr/week skills & 2 tournaments/2 showcases all included in AAA tuition. The travel is a little more than AA but has narrowed significantly since AHF came in. We could care less about how many games we play. The development is in the practice/skills ice time, gym and video. Games mean very little before 15U. Now kid is 2nd yr Bantam and things start to matter. Also our rink allows kids to jump on ice with other teams at no charge to get even more ice time. My kid was on the ice 5 hrs for practice and 2 hrs skills!  Ice time is everything and AAA has more of it! You can say it is status symbol for parents, but not this set of parents.

Seems that you are paying for daycare. Here's my view...If you can afford it and your kid is REALLY into it...then go ahead and drop $$$ for AAA. They will be really good beer league players that people complain about in C league.

SM is stealing money from people.  The LF roster just came out and it has like 3 true AAA kids on it.  This man def does not do his homework.  Good luck most of them kids struggled in AA.  Open your eyes people.
