THE LIONS ARE READY TO ROAR, PENN STATE HARRISBURG ICE HOCKEY IS BACK!

After the cancellation of the 2020-2021 DVCHC season, the Lions squad are chomping at the bit and are ready to go.

MIDDLETOWN, PA - I think most will agree it's been a long, strange journey and here we are, a full year and season passed, preparing to kick off this coming weekend at the pre-season college showcase hosted by IceWorks Skating Complex in Aston, PA.

Upperclassmen & Grad students Cam Moore, Dan Yanich, Jake Petras, Nate Feaser, Cade Cartright, & Will Tissue will look to expand on their 2019-20 successes which got them to the DVCHC championship. Although they lost to Kutztown many of the players including the aforementioned return to play this season. We had an opportunity to catch up with team captain Cam Moore to discuss the upcoming season.

As we all know last year was really tough for all the schools. It was really unfortunate for our seniors, and given the team, we had coming into the 20-21 season we had pretty high expectations to make a run at a championship. Although we lost a few guys that graduated, we were swarmed with incoming young talent.
I think this is the deepest team we’ve ever had, and for the guys returning, I know there is a sour taste in our mouth after losing in the championship of the 19-20 season. I think we have a lot to prove, and I believe the future of this program is very bright. I’m very proud of the way we’ve grown in the last 2 years, and it’s only trending up from here.

       

The schedule for play includes 4 guaranteed games beginning on Friday night, here's what you need to know:

9/17 | 10:00pm Salisbury Sea Gulls
9/18 | 11:00am Kutztown Golden Bears
9/18 | 8:45pm Neumann Knights
9/19 | 8:30am Widener Pride
