Author Topic: New Jersey Youth Hockey Player Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Accident  (Read 8922 times)


ATCO, NJ. - Late Wednesday evening, July 3rd at approximately 10:30pm Shane McGarvey was involved in a traffic accident involving his motorcycle with an automobile. According to the police report Shane was riding his dirt bike, (motorcycle) in a residential neighborhood and rode through a stop sign. The ensuing accident occurred when he struck a vehicle coming from another direction. The young man was thrown from the dirt bike upon impact which caused severe bodily injuries. He was later pronounced dead at Virtua Voorhees Hospital.

Shane played for Flyers Youth Hockey Club out of Voorhees Flyers Skate Zone. He was 14yrs old.
