Royals News
Royals Families – We have big news! Next season, the home of the Royals will be Bucks County Ice and Revolution Ice Gardens As needed. Wintersport Ice Rink is under contract to sell to a third-party buyer group to redevelop the property for residential use. As a result, we’ve teamed up with the new ownership at Revolution Ice Gardens to merge youth clubs. We Will remain the Wintersport Royals, using the same jersey, shell and socks that we are currently using. Vince Prozzillo will remain hockey director. Big things are happening at Revolution Ice Gardens as well! The rink sold to new ownership in March 2019 and they have started improving the facility starting with the parking lot and lobby. Revolution’s youth “Elite” program also just earned Tier-I “AAA” status for next season so we are excited to have a Tier-I affiliate for our players in the same rink! We remain committed to our Royals families and see this as a positive next step for the program. Stay tuned for updates on evaluations, tryouts and coaching announcements. The future of the Royals is bright.
Funny to me that Mercer (aka Black Bear) downplayed the entire "merging" of two teams last year when they made the announcement, forgoing informing parents that Princeton Youth would be the tier 2 program and the Mercer Chiefs tier 2 program would cease to exist. Fast forward exactly one year, and they are doing it again!
