DVHL Fanpage
Topic: March 03, 2023, 07:42:43 AM
I have noticed that once again the DVHL is afraid of competition deleting all club post about evals from AHF teams. On the other side the AHF fan page has many DVHL teams posting about their evals. What is the DVHL and the people running the fan page afraid of? As a business owner I welcome the competition knowing full well my competitors advertise the same places I do, it makes for a better quality service and happier customers. I'm basing next years club we pick on this weekends AAHA qualifiers, may the best league win.

SEEDING (MY HOCKEY RANKINGS - AAHA - 2/15/23)
14AA
1ST SEED       MHR       2ND SEED           MHR       3RD SEED   MHR      4TH SEED  MHR
VFColonials    57     York Devils       68              CPPanthers  175       Genesis   214
16AA
1ST SEED   MHR    2ND SEED    MHR          3RD SEED   MHR    4TH SEED  MHR                Team Philly 14            LVYPhantoms 86            Genesis    194            Quakers    238
18AA
1ST SEED   MHR    2ND SEED   MHR    3RD SEED     MHR    4TH SEED   MHR
Blazers      4      Team Philly 26        Snider Hockey 103       CPPanthers  146

Notice the 1 & 2 seed are both AHF teams. Granted the DVHL teams are the Playoff winner and runner up not the season winner who get an automatic bye. With that said only Snider at AA with a ranking of 35 is better. 18AA and 16AA both Genesis teams are ranked 16th. Those are the best of the DVHL were as for the AHF they are the best in the state of PA not the league.

This could be why the DVHL fanpage is afraid to advertise clubs in league competition. Am I completely happy with the AHF in our 1st year, no. I was more pleased with the AHF then I was the 6yrs in the DVHL and hopefully the AHF will work out their kinks, which the DVHL never did. The DVHL philosophy of if theirs no competition why improve what we offer bit the in the rear. Our club fees did not change last year and pennies to the dollar this year. As far as travel and gas it was no worse then driving to the Delaware Fairgrounds to stomp a crappy team or to go to Wilkes Barre/Scranton Jr Pens to play what was usually a good game. I also know the travel distance DVHL teams had to go to play in the EJ this year, we have done both leagues in the past. Now the DVHL has a new team, the Wild. What players are going to draw from? Most of the players they will get are going to come from the Kings, Quakers,  plus a hand full from Team Philly and VFC. They will weaken other DVHL clubs more than anything else. I will be completely blown away if they field as many teams as they posted, maybe one team at each level from peewee on up and a couple mite and squirt teams with the help of Elite Edge. I do honestly wish the Wild the best of luck, just feel going into the AHF would have been the wiser move.

Well I guess you will picking an AHF team for next year. At 14AA, 16AA & 18AA the AHF teams went 6-0 against the DVHL teams with pretty much ease.

The DVHL fanpage post some of the topics from here on their page. I promise this is one they won't.

I'm interested to see how this weekend goes between the DVHL and AHF teams. I think that we will see better games than we saw this past weekend. Team Philly vs the better Genesis team at 16AA will be a good series for sure, 3 close games. I think the Blazers at 18AA win in 2 and 14AA will go 3 games with only 1 of the games being close. I believe the AHF will come out of the 16A pool play with the top team in each pool. It will be fun to follow.

Your right at 16A there is a very good chance that the AHF teams come out on top.  Why because they played AHF vs playing DVHL???    No because the PA AHF teams,  who are the two topped ranked teams according to MHR , come from Clubs that don't field AA teams.   If you look at the MHR Wissahickon and Lancaster would be middle of the road AA teams in the AHF.  But those teams took the easy way out so they could out score teams on an average of 4 to 1.   Please don't tell me they didn't know this.   These teams\clubs have been sandbagging for years.  They know how good their teams are.  They played down to win.    Both of these teams would have been on the cusp of being playoff teams in the AA gold div.   Lets not give them props for playing A hockey so they could have a +134 goal diff (Lancaster) and a +131 (Wissahickon).

So you are saying they are the CPP of the AHF, gotcha.
Current Season Record - All Games (W-L-T): 38-10-1    GF=293 GA=111=+182
CPP would have been a playoff team in the DVHL 16AA division but opted to play down again, just like last year.
Didn't think your post out very well did you

Look again.  Lancaster had 3 teams  out of 7 10U and above with a winning record.  Last year we had one playoff team with a winning record out of 8 teams 10U and up.  You cherry picked the one team we had that dominated.  Sorry they beat up on your kid’s team.

We are not looking at the club as a whole, we are talking about 16A. Way to try and change it to suit yourself and attempt to justify the fact CPP 16A played down. You opted to say that the AHF teams played down, like they are the only ones. I simply pointed out that the DVHL's 16A rep the CPP team did the same. I did not dispute your claim that the AHF reps didn't play down, they absolutely did. None of the top 4 teams in the AHF 16A gold division had a AA team just like the top 2 16A(season standings) teams in the DVHL didn't. Sorry you didn't beat us, we are in the AHF and played up to be a mid level AA team rather than be a dominate A like CPP would have chosen and others decided to do. I know the CPP team well for my kid has played scholastic with and against just about all of them over the years. If we would have played CPP it would have been a good game for sure.
