Interesting. Seems like for a fringe tier 1 player having opportunities to practice with a good tier 1 team while playing AA is a great situation.

Why can’t they take advantage of this, improve, then jump to another tier 1 organization the next season?

Two issues here, first off if I’m a PHC player/family I am losing my mind losing practice reps to a player the organization is stringing along and is not good enough to be part of the actual team.

Second, these parents aren’t doing this to play for another organization they are doing it because they think it is their ticket to PHC, so it’s just a cruel year long lead on

Losing reps? Lolllll. Extra skaters in a legitimate full ice practice enhance the situation. Most of the local AAA teams under 12U have roster sizes so small the practices can’t possibly be good. They’ve become glorified, small group skill sessions. This post tells me you don’t know what a real practice looks like. AAA teams in this area have rosters with less than 12 kids and you think this a good practice environment?

If Phc could make players better internally why are they on face booking looking a 2014 goalie rather then taking one of the 9 they had at hurricanes tryouts? Keep drinking the koolaid

No one should care about any of this. Tier 1, AAA, AA etc... It is all BS before puberty. No one can say a kid is going to play at next level until they are 15-18 years old. Keep chasing those letters boys, you have a 75% chance of not even playing past 16! PHC, LF, JrF, THF teams are all conning parents. Keep arguing over bs and watch other players pass your kids by! Get a life!!!!!1

Oh boy! Igloo advertising supplemental tryouts. Did not get the inflow and suffered more outflow than expected. How did FY do at the younger ages? Did they lose as many players as expected?

FY also advertising supplemental tryouts…after cutting a kid who has a sibling in the same age group. Not a good look.

Igloo had a great turnout and very few defections, sorry to spoil your wet dreams.  They do however need a few kids to round out some teams.

There should be a better mechanism for hockey directors to be able to get together on these straggler kids who are often the kids playing for fun and not claimed to a AA or even high A team.

Great turnout for who, Igloo or a normal rink. If Igloo had great turnout why advertise for 3 age levels? Your turnout may have been better than last year but last year was terrible!

Jags are in trouble with their 1st year Hockey Director. Interested because my nephew lives with me and he was thinking about going over there and leaving Snyder. We live in NE Philly so it's Igloo or Blazers if we leave Snyder. ..... any truth to that??
