It sounds like it won't matter for the 2 player rule with the MM 11's. MM not having a 2011 team will surely make a AA Local team stronger if kids decide to go that route. Like Valley Forge Colonials or Team Philadelphia, who is putting together a very good roster for AA and could get better with a few more AAA kids.

what a shame for the MM not to field a team.

I am sure PHC is cashing in on some of that talent.  Why not join a team that has the reputation of being solid.  Should be a good night tonight.

Once again kids and parents chasing PHC. Not sure PHC is what it used to be. 2011 team had a ranking in the 90's and 2012 was in the 40's. The kids that left both teams last year know PHC is a myth and does not live up to reputation. Once PHC kids get to checking the glow wears off and teams split up. If PHC is such a great program, why did they not have any teams in the Nationals? PHC is way overrated and I am glad my kid left on his own (not cut) because he hated it. He is much happier on his new AYHL team. Parents and kids need to beware the PHC myth!

I heard that 75-80 kids are trying out at both 2012 and 2011 ages. There are maybe 5 spots open on each team as kids have already been promised. Trying out for PHC is just dumb. TB tells parents and kids they have a shot but he knows he is really just recruiting for Hurricanes AA. People need to not buy into the PHC BS and realize there are other programs out there just as good if not better!

They’re not at nationals because they push kids to prep schools and academies where they belong instead of hoarding them to play awful midget hockey in Atlantic District.

Prep schools in 8th grade? I doubt that. They push people away at those ages, not to prep schools. Tell me how many ex-PHC kids that are 14 or 15 are at prep schools (not St. Augustine) or juniors? 2-3 maybe? People leave PHC after PW or 1st year Bantam because they realize the program has nothing left to teach them and the culture is cancerous. Kids usually leave programs after 16U. Nationals start at 13U so your argument is BS.

Hockey academies start at 14U. Between BK and Mount alone probably 12 former PHC players on 14/15U teams.

Midget hockey in this area is a joke. Kids playing garbage high school hockey and missing AAA midget practices for bad HS games is a major issue. It does more damage than good.

How about the "kids" have fun and play HS hockey.  Not all bad hockey it is a game.  Brutal mentality.

We have to wait and see what new talent phc brings in to phc with the new coaches they have.  Most of the kids that try out for phc or that are asked to leave phc do not stay for the hurricanes. They bounce to another aaa from ayhl or thf.  With the skating and skill they have been taught they aren’t playing for  AA Hurricanes.  I am sure contracts have been signed for all these aaa teams.

Any update on who PHC signed at 2011 & 2012 ages? I know a few kids from these programs (LF, VF, FY & FE) tried out. Any update on who made team? I know both PHC teams need better players than last years team. I am not sure VF, FY & FE players are an upgrade. A couple LF would be upgrades. Any update is welcomed.
