several inaccuracies in this thread.  first, the injured player did not play another shift the remainder of the game.  second, the question regarding the penalty call is whether to issue a 5 min major and game misconduct, which is issued where a player is injured, or a match penalty for intent to injure which carries a much longer suspension. That's the debate.  the officials decided on the major and game misconduct here.  Wrong call.
