Travel Tournaments this season ?

Do you think travel tournaments will happen this season? I’m starting to see ads for tournaments for the late summer/fall. Seems like a stretch to me.

Yes they are going to happen. It depends on the area you are going to and the guidelines but if they can be played they will. Under the green phase in Pa you can play. Talking with organizations and leagues any area in the green phase the idea is they will allow games following CDC guidelines. I don’t expect spectators to not have some different rules but the games will exist. If we revert back to yellow phase then games would likely be off. Other states have different scenarios but there are tournaments happening in July for sure.

No. USA Hockey says play between regions is the absolute last phase of competition and will not happen until we are out of green phase. Look for 3x3 and 4x4 games with no checking and with no travel between regions. Covid cases are climbing again in states that left lockdown and will get worse in fall. Travel games would increase liability astronomically. There won't be travel until spring 2021, maybe.

There will be travel. The only places where theres increase is democratic states. Which have been proven to be inflating numbers, falsely identifying diagnosis and locking down. You have to be an idiot if you actually think this virus has any effect on kids. There are literally no stats for kids. If you are an alalrmist hypochondriac then stay home inside your new normal snowflake.

Shouldn't make this political. Taking politics out of it ... look at a spike in hospitalizations...these are not easily manipulatedeither upward or downward.  Arizona, Arkasa, Texas, and Utah have the largest increase...I won't spoil it for you...but it ruins your theory.

That being said, complete shutdowns were a complete overreaction.  I don't think it will happen again, but I am sure there are going to be measures in place that none of us will like. Especially those of us that paid AAA prices to get our kids seen in Canada, New England, and Michigan.  How will our kids ever go pro?
