Truth! He wasn't asked to come back so that's not on him.

Did Genesis offer him a spot that he declined or did he even get an offer from them? You can’t exactly be asked to come back when the organization you coach at merges with another club.

Seriously, how were the Blazers evals? Did anyone show up?  How do their Midget teams project to be this year?

We were told it was a mutual separation.

more curious who showed up??  He can coach talent for sure, but their 16aa team was bad last year.  Not sure enough talent would follow him to make them competitive.

Normally we'd know by now but seems that info isn't being shared publicly. None of us have heard a word.

72 players turned out. A lot of new faces, not all existing Blazers.

Doak didn't put an application in for Genesis. He didn't think he would be welcomed, but the administrators said he would be given a fair shot.

Doak's favorite subject to talk about is himself. The only thing bigger that his winning percentage is his ego. He is an average coach that has afforded the benefit over the last few years of picking the top players. He sells a line of BS about how great he is and people believe it. He was known as Owen National in the hockey circles... as in O and 6 for wins at Nationals that is until he won a game finally this year.  He runs his bench like an NHL coach in the sense that he only play the top 2 lines and rarely uses the lesser players.  A coach will never win a national title unless you roll all four lines.

Ouch, Scathing....  ??? Sounds like an angry ex employer.  :-\ Winning districts is something last time I checked. Making Nationals win or lose is a bonus. Losing to the number 1 and 2 teams at that age group in the country is expected. Winning against them wasn't.

He gets results, what top level coach isn't using his or her best players? You play to win that's how AA works and every player on those teams know it. But I'm sure you already know that right?  ;)
