This is fantastic I would also add to that mom taxing our kids all over to get to every game. I'm a single mom!

It's funny, almost every team my son has been on in his 8 years of playing have been way more dad-centric. Not that the moms don't do anything, but more dads are taking kids to practice and hanging out during it and going to tournaments, etc. Honestly, there are a few kids who I barely know the mom.

I didn't try learning how to skate but I do practice with our kids outside. My husband taught me everything I know and without him I wouldn't be able to do this so I am nominating him as a great hockey dad!

I appreciate the post but as a hockey Dad I am the one that takes my two players to the majority of the games and practices...I buy and care for the gear...set up trainings...and most importantly, deal with my wife's comments about hockey being too much.
