Give me a break. Penalize a kid because he worked hard and is good at hockey and wants to play in front of his schoolmates.

Get better then that kid won't dominate.

The Participation Award Generation kills me.  It's OK to lose.

My son is an elite level player and there is absolutely no way I would allow him to play ‘unofficial’ school hockey. I even have reservations about his playing varsity allowing it only while a freshman and sophomore.  He gets little to nothing out of it while risking injury and needlessly demoralizing others.

So what I was going to say was that a parent with half a brain wouldnt let his son play in that situation. for his sons sake and the sake of the teammates. its not a "participation award " situation.

The kid playing does no one any good from a hockey perspective. Sure the kid would want to, but a responsible adult parent would explain that to his kid.

Problem is too many fathers are such dopes and they have no concern for anything other than stroking their own ego..

You wanna talk "participation award" mentality?? This guy is so afraid to make little Billy sad that he makes the whole league suffer.

Then do away with HS hockey. It's not an ego thing it's a probably a kid that's good at hockey and wants to play for his school team where his friends can come watch. So if a top Football or Basketball kid is so good that he scores 5 TDs a game do parents come and freak out and say he shouldn't play?  Of course not. CPIHL Lower Division is 100 percent where this post started from.

Play Harder. Teach your kid life is not fair and if you don't want to get beat 10-0 then get better and put the work in. Not go and cry on social media.

That's your choice but might not be a choice of other parents for their kids.  Afraid to get injured?  They can get injured walking down the sidewalk. Guess what your kid isn't going anywhere in hockey. Let him enjoy his HS life

Signed Photos in USHL. That actually made me chuckle.  All the kids want those.
