well, we still live in a capitalist society, so if you dumb mfers are willing to toss 7k plus twice that flying around, plus private lesson fees to curry favor, countless hours driving your 12 year old around, why dont we just round it off to 20k, I say more power to the unskilled of the world that also need to make a living.  They probably also went down the same path at some point.  kinda makes you wonder?

Aaa is not non profit its 100percent for profit. Tier ll is supposed to be non profit but about 90percent of them are for profit. The only one that is true nonprofit is Snider Hockey.

What is devils guru? Prove a youth hockey coach is making 170k there's no way any club would pay more than 20k.

They are correct. He coaches and runs the org. Spouse does the books. Any org that is listed as a 501c3 has to list compensation above 100K on their 990 form. I'm not sharing the link but you can find it if you look hard enough. Total compensation with spouse is over 300K. It's not unlikely that some of these legacy organizations in the AAHA have people who are making some coin. Im not justifying the amount of income being derived in this situation but running a high level youth hockey organization does require a significant amount of hours. I guess you would have to decide if you feel they are delivering enough value for your dollars. Not for me to decide. Also I know for a fact other districts have well known organizations that their org heads pull in north of those numbers.

He runs the organization, he can take away from it as much as he wants to. Tier 2 owners do the same thing. The money does not filter back into the organization, Ice is paid for coaches are paid for with stipands and the ownership group walks away with the rest every season.
