I’m not in love with some of what black bear has done, but please explain what you are talking about. By no account have I seen black bear do anything to hurt any player or family.

do you really think the guy handing out skate rentals has any clue what Black Bear is planning on doing or their behind the scenes plan to rule youth hockey in the NE US?

I have to say this is a very creative way to make sure you sell ice.  All of these guys are rink owners or should I say 4 guys own 4 rinks and 1 company owns the rest.  They will be able to makes sure their rinks are being used and can control the cost.  They can also get away from the EJ which has terrible scheduling and is a huge money grab.  The people who run the EJ try to low ball rinks for ice time and then make a ton of money off the hotels. At least with this league they are really only looking to sell ice in their buildings.  Maybe things will change if they get larger but for now it looks like a good thing for the rink owners
