SHSHL RIVALRY NIGHT - It's that time of year again, Thanksgiving is on Thursday and that means it's the annual Thanksgiving Eve SHSHL "Rivalry Night". A times-old tradition of the league's biggest rivals facing off against one another in various rinks simultaneously across Bucks and Montgomery Counties. An opportunity for players to squeeze in one more game before their holiday feast and in most cases, many will hit the road for club hockey tournaments shortly thereafter. The customary rivalries pitted against one another battle it out for their coveted rivalry trophy to be named the top team for their specific region of play for one night. In some cases, this is one or both team's opportunity to play for a "mini-championship" during their high school season. Not all of the teams will make it to the postseason so this single game holds a lot more meaning to many. It's an opportunity for alumni, friends, and family to come out and watch when they normally won't be able to do so considering so many different challenges such as work, travel, and school to name a few.
