No phones call or emails?
Topic: April 11, 2019, 02:03:01 PM
Its officially open season on recruiting.
But you haven't received any phone calls, emails, invites, or offers. You played by the rules, didn't talk to coaches, teams, or organizations before recruiting was allowed, and now you have nothing. Somehow most teams already have their rosters set for next year. Their tryouts are just for show. But hey go to them anyway, you never know.
Hmmmmm, Mes thinks playing by the rules sucks.

Doesn't matter.  When your child's youth hockey is over, he/she won't care what level he/she played at.  What matters most is they loved going to the rink and continued to do so.  And if you instill in them a complaining mind set, that they are constantly getting screwed, you're not doing them any favors for life after youth hockey.

Your kid is getting cut. Enjoy the last few years of watching him play on that lower team and program you bashed for the last few years.

There are going to be people posting positive and adverse situations. No sense berating anybody for adverse situations, They're venting.

I'm confused... are your feelings hurt that you were not approached by another team to recruit your son/daughter or are you wanting to move to another club and don't know where to start?

What age level are you at? That also plays a factor.

Mocking the whole process and the folks that take it all way too seriously.

Cracks me up how some folks thing they know stuff.  Especially becasue they are exactly the type I'm talking about.
