Rink construction rumors
Topic: May 24, 2019, 09:27:16 AM
I have heard from multiple people that Hatfield is adding s 4th sheet of ice. And I have heard that Revolution Ice Garden is adding a 3rd sheet of ice. Any truth to these rumors?

The only spot it can go is the softball field but I think that's township property.

You must be talking about Hatfield because the only available space at Warwick is the junkyard behind the place. That's a virtual toxic dump site.

FWIW, Hatfield is in discussions to add a 4th. It is not a rumor. Warwick has been talking about adding a 3rd for 5 years. While Black Bear does have interest in a 3rd, it's not in any plans right now. They're working on fixing the existing rinks first.

they've been adding a second sheet for the last 5 years.  If you look behind the current rink you can even see the materials stacked up.

PowerPlay has a bunch of steel beams just sitting behind the rink next to the parking lot.  Hope that they can put it to use someday.  Would love to see a second sheet there.
