12/13/2019WARWICK, PA. - North was expecting worse, as Pennsbury was coming in hot, having beat Neshaminy, who beat north with the mercy rule. North didn’t get mercy ruled, but they did get dominated by Pennsbury 9-1 at Revolution Ice Gardens.
Pennsbury started off slow, and Council Rock did a good job keeping them contained. But eventually, Pennsbury broke through on a goal on the rebound by Brandon Macainsh. Macainsh picked up another goal before the first period came to a close. North was proud of themselves, as they trailed by two heading into the second frame.
In the second period, North made it a one-goal game when Colin Kiefer put one home from the blue line. Pennsbury was angry after that goal and scored 7 straight from Beau Yedman who had 2, along with Jake Machlovitz, Colin Michalak, Reece Millman, Reese Picker, and Shane Siegmund. While North was happy to get a full three periods, there are a lot of problems and concerns to be solved in practice, even though they went up against one of the best teams in the league
Rex Goldberg helped out the Indians with 27 saves on 36 shots. Mark Jorgenson had an easy night, saving 7 of 8 shots he faced tonight against a young North squad.
