PENNSBURY PREVAILS 8-2 OVER ABINGTON IN FIRST GAME OF 2020

The Pennsbury Falcons are looking forward to the back half of the season and they were hoping to get it started in a good way tonight when they faced Abington. This was an important game to the Falcons, as the Ghosts are in their conference and a win meant 2 points closer to a playoff position.

BRISTOL, PA. - The game started out slowly for the Falcons, which may have been since they have been off the ice as a team for over two weeks. They got things going with a goal just before the end of the first, from Freshman Brendan MacAinsh. They were able to break the game wide open in the second, scoring five goals during that period. Two of those goals came from MacAinsh, who recorded the first hat trick of his Varsity career. As always, Sophomore Topher Seiler was solid in net. The only two that got past him were power-play goals. The Falcons added two more in the third to close out the night.

Pennsbury is solid across their whole bench, but tonight it was the young players who carried the team. In addition to MacAinsh’s 3 goals, sophomores Colin Michalak, Reese Picker, and Shane Siegmund each had a goal.
