Please let everyone know how your coach this season was. Let the bashing begin!

I have a feeling the results you are looking for won’t be posted at this time as people know some coach’s are on this board and may take the response (that possibly identifies their child) out on that child as the season is still ongoing.  There are some stubborn, vindictive coaches.

Vindictive low class rinks tend to employ the low class A-hole coaches, they go hand in hand.

The second poster has it. The bad coaches know who they are and will be looking for bad reviews from what they consider problem parents. My son was the benefactor of my personal feelings I made clear with his coach after the season at the banquet. He was treated like crap all season and it wound up even worse the next. Needless to say we pulled him and moved on with another club.

Smart move, what I found truly amazing is how many parents will stand by and watch a coach verbally and sometimes physically abuse their children because the coach is supposed to be "good"or is connected to a famous player.

Two words - Parent Coach

Hard to avoid.  Appreciate all the time and efforts though.

Some non-parent coaches are just as bad, maybe worse as this is their social life.

My kid has experienced wonderful parent coaches and abysmally deficient "professional" coaches.

As for his coach this year, it would be the latter.  Adding his name to my "never again" list, and the coach will never know, and if he did know, I am sure he would not care.  Follow your gut because it is really important, the coaches and how they impact your kids.

Agree, my son had an excellent parent coach this year and a terrible non-parent coach last year.
