Does anyone know the cost of this League?  Also will your whole club need to join or can individual levels join?

Black bear finally takes the mask off of the operation. It's by application only for teams not in their rink owned system. All of their rinks teams have to play in their league and they say in the about page info that this supplemental league is the initial intent. Which means they are going to run their own league against the DVHL and NJYHL in 22/23 season.

At present it’s more a competitor with the Ejepl than the Dvhl or Njyhl.  I would imagine that in order for Black Bear to create a direct competitor to those leagues, the AAHA would have to give their blessing.

Agreed. Unless the District allows the league a path to district/nationals, then the DVHL and NJYHL are safe. The EJ on the other hand takes a big hit. Almost all those clubs were EJ members.

The idea of it being supplemental league is kind of a joke now since there are so few teams. At this point you'll just be playing the same teams you are already playing in your NJ/DVHL seasons. I know this isn't that different than it was in the EJ, but at least they had a bigger pool of teams and I know they at least tried to schedule games against teams who were not already in your regular league division.
