In case you were not at the meeting last night, or haven’t heard yet, I announced my retirement from the DVHL!

When my husband retired from his job, I asked him how did he know he was ready to retire. His answer – “you just know”. Thinking back on his answer, I know what he meant. Our family is growing (now up to 6 granddaughters!) and it is time to spend with our family. We plan on traveling to Italy as much as we can since our oldest granddaughter will be attending college in Rome. Not that I am using her as an excuse since we have already been to Italy 4 times now, but the excuse does come in handy! All kidding aside, we are lucky to have our health and want to enjoy our retirement.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support over the years. We got thru our must difficult year with the pandemic but together we stayed strong and kept the kids on the ice. I have no doubt that the league will continue to stay strong as the Executive Committee and all of you are a great group of people with all of the right intentions – we are doing it for the kids!
My retirement will be effective May 15 and Jay Finnigan will now move into the Presidential role. You are in good hands!
