2012 and 2013 players/parents:

I am looking for hockey players to try out for open spots for the upcoming NJYHL Squirt A season for the Brick Hockey Club. I expect to build off of a fun and successful season that ended with an undefeated 20-0 NJYHL B American championship. There are multiple roster spots available for players who are considered coachable, hardworking, creative, competitive, and have a desire to improve. If this sounds like your son or daughter, then I encourage you to register for BHC try outs March 21-23 at Howell Ice Arena.
If you have any questions about my coaching philosophy or have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Todd Hankel
Head Coach, BHC Squirts

Positive vibes only! Ok, then I won't mention Mercer AAA Squirt. I won't mention they will be worse than 2021-22 FE 2011 team. I will keep it positive.

never understood AAA Squirt (don't get me started on AAA Mite) -- I am out of this rat race, so no axe to grind, my kids played in the days where there were a few AAA (or back then it was called AA), I think the amount of so called "AAA" teams don't match the number of kids available, this is the problem with rink run teams, they "need" to fill these slots, even at the expense of 9-10 year olds who will lose 15-0 every game.  This won't change, but the number of AAA teams keeps growing (Whalers, 87's, Palmyra, etc) and the talent pool keeps shrinking.

Sorry for the rant -- Happy Easter

Even MyHockey rankings agrees, they lump the age group together because they know at that age the number of letters doesn't matter

If you are worried about wins and losses at the squirt level, you don't get it and never will.  Player development is all that matters.

I dont see any problem with moving into a AAA american team for your typical A/AA player - not letter chasing, but moving to a higher personal commitment to the game.  It is good that the choice exists, if only it was more reasonably priced. oh well supply and demand.
