Glad the two refs are okay and at least from the articles are in good spirits and its not stopping them from learning to officiate.... it its a hard job and only gets harder as the players get bigger and faster.

I'm also so proud to see the entire hockey community rally around not only these two refs but refereeing in general.  Sucks that it had to get to this point, but hopefully some real change happens soon, too many coaches and parents are out of control.

I feel bad for this clown's kid(s)... dad likely going to prison for a few months, dad has either been or will be fired from his job, any rink you go to now you are "that dad's" kid.  I'm guessing his son will be out of the sport soon

Here is my list of the worst behaved rink/team parents & coaches:

1. Tie- Hollydell/PHC, Rockets Hockey & NY Arrows
2. Team Philadelphia/Jr. Flyers
3. Little Flyers & Delco Phantoms
4. Mercer Chiefs- Tier 1 & Tier 2

No rinks/teams are as bad as the 3 tied at #1. But #2 is pretty close! I

Flyers youth should have made sure their house was in ordered before slinging mud at other programs. This guy wasn’t USA hockey or safe sport certified. Must have been one of their master “developers” that you don’t get at tier 1. Also for the parents who scream there shouldn’t be daddy coaches, he doesn’t have a kid on the team.

How can an organization allow this.. a coach on the bench with children who hasn’t been approved by USA hockey, background checked and no safe sport. To me it show how the organization really feels about the children, their safety and wellbeing wasn’t a concern to them. They knew the entire time he wasn’t certified. You can look on USA hockey’s website and it shows he wasn’t certified

Heard from a parent on the team that there were other situations that occurred throughout the season and was brought to the attention of ML and nothing was done about it
