Problem 🚨 Alert
Pete Rothman of the Atlantic District has prohibited girls from participating in anything like this if they are signed by a club in April..... sounds crazy doesn’t it?
Welcome to Atlantic District girls hockey and the magical 1 player 1 team rule.... only effects girls

If ever their was a discrimination against sex in sports ...... the Atlantic District is it..... take a look at all the little “Girls can’t do this rules” unless of course you play for a certain club....then all rules are bendable
Take a look at what happened when a clear violation of underaged player was broken..... nothing that affected district play!

Again....welcome to Atlantic District Girls Hockey

Is there a clause somewhere or rule specified on the AAHA website which explains this? Isn't Pete the President of MAWHA?

Nevermind, I found it in the MAWHA rules and regulations. I posted a separate topic. That is such a stupid rule.

I got clarification to the rule and have been advised this is only regarding suspensions or disciplinary penalties during pre or post season competition, IF it isn't reported.

Check the 1 player / team rule.  In the AAHA and check and see what some have went through against these issues.
Season is tryouts to nationals

Then separately says girls can’t play girls tournament and girls club . But can do girls and boys
Or girls and high school.

The explanation came from Lauren Patterson. She is a coach from the Lady Patriots hockey club. Can you copy and paste the AAHA link? I don't see anything in their rules.

Go to the AAHA site. Go to regulations 2018-19. Look in player rostering section and see the rules that only GIRLS have to follow.

Then scroll all the way down to the amendment section and look at 1 player 1 team and see the definition of season as tryouts to nationals.

Some clubs don’t have to worry about the rules so they may not know , others get smacked with everything to prevent progress and other blatantly break them and nothing happens

This? That's the same rules to be followed by the DVHL. It doesn't say anything about time in-between the end and beginning of the regular season.

Rules and Regulations

(a) Girls Rostering – Female players may only be rostered on one club
of the following: USAH Tier I (either National Bound or Non-National
bound) or USAH Tier II National Bound club roster from August 1
through the end of USA Hockey Nationals each season. Exceptions
are that the player may also be rostered on an AAHA recognized
scholastic team, a team in an AAHA recognized house league, a
youth Tier I or Tier II travel team or any AAHA affiliate sponsored
teams.

1 player one team pertains to all players so they don't double roster or play in both tier 1 and tier ll leagues.
