Tim Rink is a member of Council Rock High School’s Class of 1997. He was a four-year member of the varsity hockey team and led the team to three SHSHL Championships and four Flyers Cup AAA appearances. Tim was also a two-year Council Rock varsity baseball player, playing right field and pitcher.
A big physical player – ruthless even – an outstanding leader, admired teammate, and model student athlete, Tim, upheld the culture of Council Rock Ice Hockey and led the team to its best four-year period ever.
A former member of the “Flyers Cup All- Tournament Team, Bucks County Courier Times “Player of the Year,” Council Rock Ice Hockey MVP, and Matt Harrington Scholarship winner, Tim, is Council Rock’s most decorated defenseman of all time.
After graduating from Council Rock, Tim went on to play a post-graduate year at the Gunnery School in Connecticut. He then played one year of junior hockey for the Boston Bulldogs in the Eastern Hockey Federation.
NCAA Division 3 Lebanon Valley College had what I would call a start-up team, and Tim decided to join some of his old Council Rock teammates there. After three years, Lebanon Valley won the ECAC Northeast Championship, before losing to the Rochester Institute of Technology in the finals.
Tim graduated from Lebanon Valley College as Captain of both the hockey and baseball teams. He went on to play one season in the Southern Professional Hockey League for the Cape Fear Fire Ants.
In Tim’s four years at Council Rock, his team had a combined regular season record of 56-9-8.
Tim was the team captain as a senior.
He made the SHSHL All-Star Team twice – as a junior and senior.
Tim led Council Rock to three SHSHL Championships.
