You reap what you sow, or sue in the refs case. Wait until the lawyers rake through those 501c non profit books!

Has ML been terminated yet? This happened under his watch. Six families I know were on the fence about returning to FY and I now they are leaving.  This is devastating to FY because what happened last year at Hollydell was the parents. This was FY letting an unlicensed/no background check coach on the bench and worse in the locker room!

Leagues publish coaches' CEP numbers. The required training is useless to some of the goons parading around the local rinks, but at least its a liability mitigator for the clubs. Have a look around, there are more than a few guys behind benches on expired credentials.

Program Directors really wash their hands of teams once the season starts unless there is a complaint. The head coach should know if someone is not certified. Also I see parents, coaches and other adults in locker rooms. Does the rink check if they are all SafeSport certified? USA Hockey requires anyone in the locker room to be certified. Rinks and Teams are opening themselves up to major lawsuits. They can put any language they want in our contracts, but once they do not fulfill their USA Hockey and Insurance requirements, they can be sued. This is a bad situation for FY and ML. This may finally force ML out which will allow FY to become a real program. I would love to return at the rink is 15 minutes from my house. I travel 35 minutes since I left, but it has been 100% worth it to avoid the mess FY has become!
