AAHA just eliminated Tier 2.  All teams will be Tier 1.

I believe the poster was joking because now there are 2 Tier 1 leagues and new Tier 1 teams but the popular belief is that 85% of Tier 1 teams in Metro Philly aren't AAA quality.

I know it was a joke, but it should happen.  I made a post about this months ago, but will give a short version again. Along with hockey, I have kids that play soccer. Soccer doesn't have an equivalent tier 1-2 status. The team my daughter plays for would be considered T2 if you looked at it from a hockey perspective. Over the years the team got very good, attracted players from other clubs and were able to move to higher level leagues. They now play in what would be a T1 league and that happened because they had no restrictions.
