Politic$ and favor$ played a very big part in the decision making for all 3 teams, especially 1 team. The best talent was not selected.

Anyone know if Blackbear lost their spot? Their tryout disclaimer said

“ *Quebec Tryouts are subject to being awarded a team in October. No charge of any team fees until we are notified if we are awarded a bid.”

I was surprised by that comment as well as my understanding was that Black Bear purchased a 10 year agreement with the tournament.

Every parent that was involved with the District Tryout process knows what happen with the $outh Team, it was not a secret! AY Coaches, Parents and even kids knew something went on. It will be exposed when half of the kids won't play or get ice time in Quebec. Good Luck, we hope it wa$ worth it.

The South roster is an absolute joke.  Really good players from various AY teams over the past three years didn't make the Flyers while the team is filled with other kids who were completely mediocre.  The connected kids and their teammates/friends entirely make up the Flyers team.  Let them go up there and get crushed.  Whatever.

Then to make matters worse, the Phantoms team somehow didn't get their charter approved or something like that.  They selected the team, had practice, then all of the sudden after all area teams (Hershey, North Park, NY Rangers, etc.) were selected they informed the parents that the Phantoms didn't have a spot.  So now those kids have no where to go.

Hopefully the future generations will realize that giving all of that money to the District for a "tryout" is not worth it.  A

And don't even get me started on the battle between the District and the Hershey team.
