How many of those hollydell skaters were PHC washouts who TB promised to let practice their PHC or to oversee their development so they could make PHC next year? If you believe a word of that they promise I have a bridge to sell you

Interesting. Seems like for a fringe tier 1 player having opportunities to practice with a good tier 1 team while playing AA is a great situation.

Why can’t they take advantage of this, improve, then jump to another tier 1 organization the next season?

There were also washouts from other AAA tryouts. They always think going back to Hurricanes can get kids promoted to PHC. Don't people realize PHC is either ex-Venom (now Jr. Rebels) or recruits from other rinks. None of this matters because after 2nd yr PW all of the PHC teams implode! How are the 2012 and 2011 looking. I heard players from low level THF teams are guaranteed spots on both teams. I guess PHC is scraping the bottom of the barrel at 2012 & 2011. This is why all the talent in the area is going to LF or JrF at those ages. Once players and parents are in hockey long enough, they know to avoid Hollydell at all costs.

Because TB promises these kids practice time with PHC but never allows it.

Is kid still on Hurricanes or did he make PHC? JH might not allow it this year. He is not known for helping others, just his kids.

Two issues here, first off if I’m a PHC player/family I am losing my mind losing practice reps to a player the organization is stringing along and is not good enough to be part of the actual team.

Second, these parents aren’t doing this to play for another organization they are doing it because they think it is their ticket to PHC, so it’s just a cruel year long lead on

One of the 2014’s was second in the whole league and scoring and did NOT make PHC….go figure

2014 AA is a lot different than AAA. Not in a good way. Thanks for proving my point: PHC rarely promotes Hurricanes!

So what does that even mean? You’re right, real AAA is a lot different than AA. So those Hurricanes players should leave for fake AAA or another AA program? If a kid gets an opportunity to skate with a AAA team with a good coach and become the best version of himself how is that a bad thing? Running to FE and playing on fake AAA or going to LF and barely practicing is the answer?
